Purpose

To support the Los Angeles High School Affordability Initiative, a demonstration project to both stabilize and incrementally increase the enrollment of students from middle income families attending five Jewish high schools, as well as to build capacity in the schools to support day school education. The Los Angeles community – the five participating schools, the LA Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the Bureau of Jewish Education, Los Angeles – are responsible for raising $21,250,000 as a condition for the grant award to be paid in full. The schools include:
• Milken Community High School
• New Jewish Community High School
• Shalhevet High School
• Yula Boys High School
• Yula Girls High School
