Purpose

To support early childhood education in the San Francisco Bay Area through funding of the Early Childhood Education Initiative (ECEI) and Jewish Resource Specialist (JRS) program.

• ECEI: Initiative in Jewish Early Childhood Education to support the Initiative Director and provide administrative support and technical assistance to develop and implement an appropriate business plan

• JRS: to support the launch of the ECEI Jewish Resource Specialist; the 2014 grants supports a second cohort of JRS at up to ten Jewish preschools in the Bay Area, and documentation of the JRS; the 2016 grant supports a third and final cohort of JRS.

• the 2016 grant also supports a new internship program for Jewish ECE educators and a pilot cohort of Reshet, a program for family engagement professionals.
