Purpose

The latest grant expands the number of Jewish Day Schools (middle and high school) in the Jewish Partner Schools Network to 23 new schools. Partner Schools expand students’ exploration of their Jewish identity, deepens their historical understanding of modern Jewish history, and helps students make connections between Jewish texts and values and their own lives. This follows the initial demonstration project in eight middle and high schools — four Jewish day schools each in the Los Angeles and Boston areas — that focused on developing model Facing History schools in the Jewish educational context.
